AGM -Wednesday October 21 - 7:00pm

SCBA will be holding our 2015 AGM and election of 2016 Executive Board members Wednesday October 21, 2015, 7 PM at the Comfort Inn and Suites - 8255 166th St. Surrey in the Tynehead Room. As a member you are entitled to attend and vote on the election of the new executive. As in past years we will be drawing for a free player registration per division so make sure you attend to save some $'s for next season. Please note a family with more than one player can enter their name for more than one division but can only win one.

During the season we have received much feedback from parents meant to be constructive on how things could have been run better, questions about coach selection good or bad and some great new ideas. The problem continues to be there has been very little interest from parents in joining the executive and/or coaching, which is critical to your children being able to enjoy the game of baseball.  The more assistance we have, the better opportunity we have to make improvements.
There are a number of executive members not returning for next year so we are once again appealing to anyone who thinks they may be interested in filling a position to contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. prior to the AGM to discuss where you feel you may be able to help out and we can answer any other questions you may have. It really is not as big of a time commitment as people think, there is a meeting held once per month 11 times per year and during the season some time spent emailing to coordinate things depending on the position and assisting around the park as the  position requires.....and of course you will have guidance from the other executive members if you need it.  We hope to see you there!

Fall Ball

We are looking to field teams at Mosquito, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget with games mainly on weekends throughout the months of Sept. and Oct. As you may know, fall ball players play in the division they will play next season.  So any 2nd year tadpole parents are welcome to sign up for Mosquito. Cost is $50 and for fall ball we try to carry larger rosters because we have some players involved in other sports so even if your child can only play part time they can still sign up.
We will be holding open workouts for Pee Wee Fall Ball on Monday and Thursday (Aug. 31 & Sept. 3) from 5:30-7 and Bantam on Sat. Sept. 5 at 11 AM. We still have room for a few players on each team, so these are open to anyone that wants to join them.
Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you're interested and one of us will be in touch later this month to confirm if we have enough interest to go ahead with any or all of the divisions.

The weather was hot, but everyone managed to stay cool and enjoyed themselves.  Parents, coaches, and volunteers, we tip our cap to you and wish you a very happy summer!
